The Science Behind Healthy, Resilient Skin
From Cori, Lead Medical Aesthetician & Laser Technician and Local ALASTIN Ambassador

As a Medical Aesthetician and Laser Technician, I am constantly learning about new technologies, treatments, and skincare ingredients. One of my favorite parts of what I do is being able to combine that knowledge with products that actually make sense for my clients’ skin. That is a huge part of why I have become such a fan of ALASTIN Skincare, and why I am so excited to represent the brand as a local ambassador.
What initially caught my attention with ALASTIN was the science. At the center of the brand is its patented TriHex Technology®, which is designed to support the skin’s natural production of healthy collagen and elastin.
We hear the words “collagen” and “elastin” constantly in the aesthetic world, but what does that actually mean for our skin? Collagen provides structure and firmness, while elastin helps the skin maintain its flexibility and ability to bounce back. Over time, environmental stressors, UV exposure, and the natural aging process can contribute to the accumulation of damaged collagen and elastin within the skin.
This is where TriHex Technology really stands out to me. The technology is built around what ALASTIN calls the “Remove, Rebuild, Replenish” approach. Its proprietary blend of peptides, including Tripeptide-1 and Hexapeptide-12, is designed to help clear away damaged collagen and elastin while supporting the production of new, healthy proteins. Essentially, it is helping create a healthier environment for your skin to regenerate itself.
As someone who performs aesthetic treatments, this concept makes so much sense to me. Treatments like lasers, microneedling, and chemical peels are incredible tools for improving the skin, but what we do at home between treatments is just as important. I always tell my clients that the treatment is only one part of their skincare journey. Supporting the skin before, after, and in between treatments can make a huge difference in maintaining those results.
Personally, I have seen a noticeable difference in my own skin since incorporating ALASTIN into my routine. My skin feels significantly more hydrated, looks more plump and healthy, and I have noticed an improvement in the appearance of my hyperpigmentation. Those are changes I can actually see and feel, which is ultimately what makes me comfortable recommending these products to my clients.
My personal ALASTIN favorites are the Restorative Skin Complex, HA Immerse Serum, Retinol 0.5, and Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer. Each one serves a different purpose in my routine, but together they have helped me maintain that hydrated, healthy-looking skin that I am always trying to achieve.
When clients ask me where to start, the Restorative Skin Complex is one of the first products I recommend. It is one of those products that I think works beautifully as a foundation for a skincare routine. A-Luminate Brightening Serum is another favorite recommendation, especially for clients who are concerned with uneven skin tone and the appearance of discoloration. For hydration, I love HA Immerse Serum, and for clients who are looking to support their skin’s recovery post-treatment, Regenerative Skin Nectar is an absolute non-negotiable.
What I appreciate most about ALASTIN is that the brand is not focused on a quick fix or the latest trendy ingredient. The focus is on skin health, research, and supporting the skin’s own regenerative processes. That philosophy aligns perfectly with how I approach aesthetics. I want my clients to not only love their results immediately after a treatment, but to have healthy, resilient skin that continues to look and feel its best long after they leave the treatment room.
For me, ALASTIN is where science and skincare really come together. It is a brand I can recommend professionally, but also genuinely enjoy using myself, and I think that makes all the difference.
As a Lead Medical Aesthetician and Laser Technician, being able to educate my clients about their skin is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Being a local ALASTIN ambassador gives me another opportunity to share products and technology that I truly believe in. Because at the end of the day, beautiful skin is not just about what we do to it. It is about understanding it, supporting it, and giving it the tools it needs to thrive.
