HALO™ is a complete skin revitalization treatment. You will see overall improvements in your skin including a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, skin reflectivity and glow in addition to significant removal of discoloration.
What’s great about HALO™ is that you can choose how many treatments you want! We will discuss your needs with you and you can choose to have one or two more aggressive treatments or have multiple treatments that are less aggressive and achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time.
Thirty minutes to an hour before the HALO™ treatment, we can place a topical anesthetic on your skin to reduce the sensation during the procedure. The area will be measured with motion tracking technology to ensure the area is treated evenly. We will treat each measured section by uniformly rolling the HALO™ handpiece over the skin until the system recognizes the treatment is complete.
With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, most patients experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the HALO™ treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 15 to 30 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels.
For the first 24 hours you should keep your skin protected according to our instructions, but after that you should be able to go about your normal activities. After the first 24 hours, your skin will begin to peel, but you will be able to put on makeup. For a facial treatment, you will see very little change on the first day. After two to three days you will develop a light bronzing appearance. By day three or four your skin will peel, revealing your new skin beneath.
You will see initial results between two and five days after your HALO™ treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest pigmentary improvement in the first two to three weeks. This is followed by a dermal regeneration phase that continues to improve for months.
Your HALO™ results will last for years to come, but you should continue to protect your new, healthy skin at all times using UV sunscreen. Each additional HALO™ treatment you get will only improve the results, giving you even better looking skin.

The number of ClearV™ treatments required will depend upon the number of vessels present, the character of the vessels, and your body’s ability to heal. Depending on the size and depth of your vessel, some patients might need 1 to 3 treatments to fully reach their goals.
There should be little to no discomfort during your ClearV™ treatment, however discomfort varies from patient to patient and depends on the specific treatment. There is no need for anesthesia and we will discuss your options to properly manage any discomfort from the treatment. ClearV™ has integrated cooling which will improve your experience. There should be no prolonged post treatment discomfort.
Strictly avoid any sun exposure to the treated area for a minimum of 7 days after the procedure. The treated area is more prone to sunburn and pigmentation change. Keep the area covered and use a sun block with a protection factor of 30+ and reapply the sun block every two hours. Generally we ask you to refrain from active exercise for 48 to 72 hours post treatment. This is to ensure that the vessels stay closed, and you achieve the best results in fewer treatments.
Until sensitivity has completely subsided, AVOID all of the following:
- Applying make-up over the treated areas
- Use of scented lotions or soaps, exfoliant creams (Retin-A, glycolic/salicylic and alpha-hydroxy acids), acne creams or gels, loofa sponges and aggressive scrubbing
- Excessively hot water
- Shaving
- Swimming pools and spas with multiple chemicals/chlorine and severe temperature changes
- Activities that cause excessive perspiration
- Hot tubs and hot showers for 48-72 hours
Your healing time will depend upon your specific treatment. In most cases, there is virtually no downtime and you may resume your daily activities immediately. Subsequent ClearV™ treatments are typically 4-6 weeks apart.
